No, the HP Notebook - 14q-cs0023tu does not support 5 GHz WiFi because it has a Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n wifi adapter, which is not compatible with the 5 GHz band.

You can replace the RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter with this model which is dual band and works with the single antenna wire the notebook comes with.

 

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
