Pavilion DV6-2003TX
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi support,

I bought the UE boom 2 bluetooh speaker, but my Pavilion DV6 laptop cannot detect it. I'm running on Windows 7 32-bit. Laptopn is HP Pavilion DV6-2003TX.

https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-2000-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri...

I've read this and tried but same, no avail:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Connect-a-UE-Boom-2-speaker-via-bluetooth/td-p/5874289

I've read on internet that many pavilion DV6 owners face this issue. Suspect it is a support that HP needs to put in. Because my other laptop & Handphones can detect the UE Boom 2 speaker. Only this laptop can't.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi, Fred:

I'm looking at the support page for your notebook, and I don't see the required Bluetooth driver listed for the HP Bluetooth module your notebook comes with.

The generic BT driver that W7 installs isn't enough to make the Bluetooth work properly.

Here is the link to the W7 BT driver you need for your notebook...Install, restart the PC and see if you can now pair with the BT speakers.

This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology provides wireless connectivity to other devices from the integrated module of the supported notebooks/laptops. It also provides additional Bluetooth Profiles.

Thank you Paul!  😃

I just tried the patch. Previously I had problems installing the driver. Now the UE Boom 2 can be installed after the patch is installed.

It now shows as a headphone without an error sign on my laptop's BLUETOOTH DEVICES.

However, when i tried to click connect to my BT speaker, it still can't connect.

The error happens like that. When I click connect > my BT speaker will give a sound that it's connected > Then in the next 3s, it will give another sound that it is disconnected > Then windows will prompt an error "Error Establishing Connection" > Then it fails.

I've restarted the PC, turned on and off my BT on the laptop, but same symptom.

Strange.

Any help welcome! 🙂 At least now the W7 driver can be installed.

Appreciate the help!

Thanks,

You're very welcome, Fred.

Unfortunately, that is the only suggestion I had to offer.

I would not know how to resolve the problem now that the BT driver is installed.
