Will this new card work on with Windows 8.1? I have an HP Envy with this same wireless driver and a new dual-band AC router. My connection drops after 15-20 minutes every time I try to use it. The only thing I can do is shut down and reboot so it will establish a connection again, until it drops again. So frustrated!

You're very welcome.
Yes, you can install this AC wifi card in your HP ENVY TouchSmart m7-j020dx Notebook PC:
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the card. Should be readily obtainable on eBay or Amazon.
Here are the links to the W8.1 wifi and bluetooth drivers for that model wifi card.
This package provides the drivers to support the Intel 7260/3160 Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

Hi:
I would need to know the full model number or product number of your notebook in order to let you know what replacement wifi adapters you could install.
The product number can be normally found on the same label as the serial number.
In the meantime, did you try the latest W8.1 driver directly from Intel? The 64 bit driver is the 3rd driver down on the left side of the webpage.

My laptop model is E4S19UA#ABA. I'll try installing that driver you referred me to tomorrow if I can get my PC to stop showing me the BSOD. It was stuck in a loop for hours and I'm going to shut it down now.
Thank you for the quick response!!!
