If you have Fast Start enabled then the hibernate file is used to restore the previous state of the system. That file may have old settings!!
With your laptop working, create a new hibernate file as follows
To get a new hiberfile do the following. Enter 'CMD' in the windows search and select 'run as administrator'.
Be sure to close other apps to avoid losing data during the hibernation.
powercfg -h off powercfg -h on shutdown /h |
|
when your system reboots, it should start with the same device settings as it had when the hiberfile was created.

I go back to S0 mode,
and turn "Power mode" setting in Windows to "performance" mode.
I allways "Stop" Windows on "Power down".
@Kev2001, try "Power mode" setting in Windows to "performance" mode,
I think, this is the best solution to day !!!

I also do not see the POWER MANAGEMENT for that CRAY Adapter. It's in my computer and I've been dealing with this issue for almost 9 months. One thing that does help the CRAY is if I'm plugged into the power cord, it doesn't disconnect and need to be reset as much.

I have the SAME maddening issue. I stream TV and there is NEVER a hic-cup. Can be on my computer at the same time and ZAP - connection dropped. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've ran the "FIX YOUR NETWORK" from HP Support Assistant.

Never solved. My issue seems to be better if I'm plugged in with the power cord vs. being on battery; however, I still have "freezes" and have to run the "Fix your network" thru the HP Support Assistant. MADDENING!
