@SASI67, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

I understand you're experiencing frequent Wi-Fi disconnections on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15, even after trying router-related troubleshooting. Let's work together to resolve this.

Update Wireless Network Drivers

Outdated or corrupted drivers are a common cause of Wi-Fi issues.

  • Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your product name.
  • Download and install the latest Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) driver listed for your model.
  • Restart your laptop after installation.

Run HP Network Check Tool

HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose and fix network issues.

  • Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in the Start menu).
  • Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security > HP Network Check.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and resolve issues.

If you don’t have HP Support Assistant, download it here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support

Modify Power Management Settings

Windows may turn off your Wi-Fi adapter to save power.

  • Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties.
  • Go to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
  • Click OK.

Reset Network Settings

This will clear any misconfigurations.

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and click Network reset.
  • Click Reset now and restart your PC.

Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your system is fully updated.

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

If the suggestions helped solve the problem, please let us know by clicking “Accepted Solution.” It really helps fellow users find quick answers.

A quick “Yes” also goes a long way in showing appreciation!

Take care and happy computing!

Best regards,
