Hello!
We are currently setting up new computers at Office. We are using HP EliteBooks 645 G9 with the wireless network card modell: Wifi 6 AW-XB547NF RTL8852BE Network Card.
We are experiencing Wi-Fi disconnects often. Roaming is not good at all. Connection drops and we have to disconnect/connect to Wi-Fi manually quite often. Roaming level 2 is set in device manager for Wi-Fi card.
When we use Bluetooth connection to our Wacom drawing tablet it disconnects when using it. Seems to be a related connection problem.
We are using the latest drivers from HP website
RTL8852AE - Wi-Fi driver
- 1.0.0.242 Rev.S
- RTL8852AE, version 6001.10.356.0
- 12.6 MB
- Mar 6, 2024
RTL8852AE - Bluetooth driver
- 1.10.1061.3021 Rev.S
- 8852AE, version 1.10.1061.3021
- 1.8 MB
- Jul 18, 2024
Could not find any newer driver on Realteks homepage either.
Machine OS: Windows 11 Professional x64 - 24H2.
Wi-Fi Solution: HP Aruba Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi 6
Our old Computers with Intel AX201 Wi-Fi works perfectly with both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth connection.
Any Clues that can help us out?
Thanks for the help we can get.

Back and after some testing today we still struggle with Wi-Fi disconnects. Maybe 5-6 per hour of use of Wireless. We can reconnect and it will work for maybe a few minutes but the problem still coming back. Both with streaming, web viewing etc.
The driver installation was no problem and we checked so the versions that Paul_Tikkanen suggested now are installed. But problem is still there.
We are using Roaming Aggressiveness value 2 which is the lowest one if we dont want to disable the roaming function.
When it comes to our older computers we use value 3 (standard) and it works well with the old computers setup with the Intel AX201 network card together with our HP Aruba Wi-Fi Solution.
Any other suggestions we can try?

Sorry, that updating the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version did not work.
The only other suggestion I can offer that you may not want to do because of the number of PC's you have would be to replace the Realtek card with this one:
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 non-vPro HP part # L35282-005
The AX200 non-vPro was offered in the 645 G6 model series.
I can't guarantee it will work in the 645 G9 but it should.
You can try it in one of the PCs as a test.
Below is the link to the service manual:

Thanks for the solution. I'll reach out to HP and suggest replacement after we have tested it.
The WiFi problem exist even when we tried at different locations like home Wi-Fi, Hotel Wi-Fi and Work Wi-Fi.
So not even a more common Wi-Fi standard seems to work with the card for the moment. The connection drops and disconnects when using the computers.

You're very welcome.
The Realtek cards are notorious for being plagued with connection issues and other problems.
All I can do to help folks whose PC's come with those cards is to be on the lookout for newer Realtek driver releases.
Please post back and let us know if the Intel AX200 works in the 645 G9.
I have an Intel AX200 in my HP 15-ee0047nr consumer class notebook that has the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor and it works fine and always has.
I keep the drivers updated by downloading them from the Intel website.

Hello!
I can confirm that all problems disappeared when switching Wi-Fi card to Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200.
Smoothly roaming
No disconnects via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
No high latency
No freezing/disconnects when in online meetings
Everything seems to work as it should now.
Intel Wi-Fi AX200 works very well together with HP EliteBook 645 G9.
Realtek RTL8852BE (AW-XB547NF REV0B) is no go. Keep away from this card.
