Unfortunately I still also having the issue and any suggestions mentioned on this forum didn't helped to fix the issue.

I had a similar issue with my laptop (HP Pavilion 15 Gaming) & I searched for 3 days to find a solution. I called multiple tech supports, got transferred etc. I was even told they would transfer me to a "team of networkers" that could "definitely solve my issue" by messing with my router, as long as I pay them. HP Tech support is a joke.

It ended up being the HP bloatware that they installed on the PC. When I uninstalled I still had issues so I had to go under task manager -> Services and disable all the HP services. My laptop doesn't kick other devices off of WiFi anymore.

HpAppHelperCap

HpNetworkCap

HpOmenCap

HpSysInfoCap

HpTouchpointAnalysisService

These were the services I had to disable in order to use ANY other device on my WiFi while using my laptop.

I'm having the same issue with my HP laptop, cutting off and on from the WIFI connection repeatedly. What is this '1709' update I can install to fix the issue? Do you have a link?

Thank you.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)

BIOS default: ( For all HP laptops )

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer and follow the next steps.

Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

Thank you for posting back.

Not to worry, I've got a few more steps to isolate the issue.

Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. On the main menu, click Component Tests.
  4. The Component Tests menu displays.
  5. Wireless Module Test - This test checks that the BIOS detects the wireless module and that it is enabled.

To run the test, click the Wireless Module, and then click Run once.

  • The Wireless Module Test takes 30 seconds to complete.

If the test passes, try these steps:

Reinstall the network adapter using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8, 10)

Reinstall original software or drivers using the HP Recovery Manager. If your PC does not locate the Recovery Manager installed, click the ‘next step’ button below.

  1. In Windows, search for and open HP Recovery Manager. If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. If prompted by User Account Control to allow the program to make changes to the computer, click Yes.
  2. Under Help, click Reinstall drivers and/or applications and wait for Recovery Manager to generate a list.
  3. From the combined list of applications and drivers, with the drivers listed first, select the checkbox next to the drivers you want to reinstall. NOTE: The name of the adapter varies, depending on which one is installed on your PC.
  4. When the Installation is completed message displays, click OK.
  5. Close all open applications, restart your computer, then try connecting to the Internet again.

If the test passes, try these steps:

  • From the Start screen, type device manager to open the Search charm, and then select Device Manager from the search results. Double-click Network adapters. Right-click the name of your wireless network adapter, and then select Uninstall.
  • Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03535285 to complete the troubleshooting steps

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I am getting disconnected every 10 mins esp. when I am idle while Rogers Ignite Customer Support confirmed that the connectivity was strong and consistent, they even changed modem to a new one and fixed all connections that may interfere within the house and even checked outside the area.  They have been here 3x already and now this new HP laptop whenever connected is the one causing the internet to shut off for some reason, I need a quick fix as I am working from hoime and I barely can use it more than 10 mins as it gets disconnected and affects the whole home network despite high speed connectivity.

I need someone to confirm that HP LAPTOP-V9K5BCVS  Intel Core i5 1021OU CPU @1.60GHz 2.11GHz

Description: Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
Physical address (MAC): 40:5b:d8:16:3f:c7

Should I get this back for replacement at Best Buy or we can fix this online???  I just got this on 11/30/19.

I'm also having the same issues...with a new customized laptop from HP which I just received 12/27/2019.

Win 10 Ver 1909,   Intel i5-10210U (1.6 GHz base) processor with the Realtek RTL8822CE 801.11ac wireless.

I noticed others have had issues with the RTL 8822CE 802.11ac as well... and my this version of BIOS is F.2... which as of today is NOT yet available for download off the HP 15t-da-200 CTO website.  I'm starting to think it's either the HP services running in the background or there is a bad batch of Realtek wireless cards.  Curious to see if the RTL 8822 CE 802.11 ac is a common component.  My other three laptops are having no issues with the Wi-Fi.

I just disabled Bluetooth, which I don't expect to be the solution... after first going through Device Manager and manually checking /updating drivers.

Thanks for the response. Steps taken to resolve on the 15t-da200 CTO with Win10 Pro (i5-10210U) are below.  Long story short -- I'm still experiencing wireless connection issues on a device which is to be used for On-Line Live Courses/classes.

1. Updated the Realtek RTL 8822CD 802.11AC driver (not impressed that HP sent me NEW laptop which required me having to go into Device Mgr to manually update drivers ... found several updates). As a FYI... ordered 11/30/2019 and received 12/27/2019. Also tried uninstalling RTL8822 CD, rebooting PC, reinstalling RTL 8822 CD, updating driver.

2. Looked into BIOS per Virtual Assistant directions. HP Support page for the 15t-da200 CTO indicates the most current BIOS is F.01A (8/20/2019), while this laptop which shipped 12/24/2019 has a BIOS ver F.02. (11/28/2019). Not the issue. HP Auto Installer would said "not compatible."

3. Using HP Support Assistant, brought up the "HP Network Check" tool. Unit would scan, reset the wireless adapter, release & renew the IP address. The wireless would be active and work for a while, then drop the wireless connection. Repeat this same step several times with the same results. My SSID is visible/full strength every time the connection is dropped. Other SSID's are also visible.

4. I have two Android phones and three other HP laptops (all are 802.11 b/g) which are operating with NO issues on the my SSID/Wireless network with a standard Netgear Nighthawk 9600P wireless/router. The Nighthawk is properly programmed for the 2.5/5GHz network bandwidths.  There are no issues with the ISP and I had adequate bandwidth.  No issues are being encountered with my HP Envy Desktop.

5. Attempted the removal of all "known networks" and then re-connected to the SSID.

6. Went to the Power Management settings of the Wireless Adapter and unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Issue still persists. Also attempted to adjust the computer Power Management settings off the "HP Recommended Power" to the "Max Performance" setting. Issue still persists.

7. Laptop had several reboots, hard resets, also with booting into the HP Component/System tests (ESC during reboot, then F2) . All system/component tests passed.. specifically Network adapter and System tests.

8. After repeating all steps above... with the "HP Network Check" being ran the most frequent.. with the network connection being dropped consistently, I performed the Win 10 Recovery (keep all files) in case it was a issue with Win10. Issue still persists.

Next steps: Not sure. I haven't yet created the Recovery USB drive off the HP Cloud Recovery Manager, but I thought about performing a full Win10 rebuild, but I think it will be a complete waste of my time by the time I get done rebuilding all the user accounts and won't fix the issue. This laptop isn't yet ONE week old and I will be calling the US HP Support Center regarding the next steps as I am disappointed the first time after 5 other HP laptop/desktop purchases.   The wireless on this device must be reliable... and it is not.
