Over the past month, my Wifi driver (Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168) has been playing up.

1) Every so often, the Wifi driver disables itself and I am cut off from using any wireless network. When going into Networks and Connections, it will only show Aeroplane mode and no networks. I've tried using the Windows diagnosis tool to no avail and I have also tried enabling the driver, but this does not work. It can take hours before it comes back and I have no control over whether it comes back or not.

2) Less importantly, eEvery time the computer locks, the Wifi disconnects.

I have had to roll back the driver the previous version (2 June 2020) from the current version (May 2021?) because it is so frustrating.

Has anybody else had this issue, or could somebody please help advise what could work to rectify this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I too have a similar issue.  I notice it whenever my notebook has gone into Sleep Mode when closed.  I typically have to restart in order to see the connection option, but before restarting I too can only see BlueTooth or Airplane, and no option to connect to WifI.
