Similar problem happened with my wife's Envy tablet - very frustrating. Interestingly enough, the solution was rather simple - head over to the Control Panel, right click on the WiFi icon and check if you have a driver associated with the WiFi. If you do, that's great - select that driver and reinstall it, if that's the latest version. That will most likely solve your issue!! Sounds strange and simple, but it's true!!

Nope,  I tried that early on, also tried some alternate drivers, none of which helped.  I have since found this is a widespread problem, and likely with more than one cause. For now I have dropped back to Windows 8.1, am using a 3rd party wireless adapter, and things seem OK.

Good to hear that you've at least found a solution to your particular issue, but that's a shame that you've had to revert back to Windows 8.1.  Have you attempted uninstalling the driver completely and then reinstalling the driver completely fresh as another possibility?

Yes.

I also tried Linux Mint.  I doubt there's enough space here to details all the things I've tried and research I've done on this problem.

I wasn't particularly impressed with Win. 10 or with Win. 8.1, so that change wasn't such a big deal for me.

Hehehe...admittedly, I agree with you in relation to Windows 10 - not a fan either myself!!  🙂

I can totally understand what you mean by the amount of research, and can see that you're not alone.  I'll keep my eyes peeled for any other solutions around too, but at least you've got something "workable".

Cheers!!

I would also add that I have two Mac systems running OSX, and have never - ever - had such a problem with either.

My problem was automatically solved, after updating to windows 8.1 and then to 10. Never had that problem, i even forgot that.

That's your good fortune.

Count your blessings!   🙂

Hi everyone.

I have had the same problem. I contacted the retail store I purchased the laptop from and the solution they gave me was to download a new driver from: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/75439/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7260.

After trying every other option this is the only one that worked.
