Hi, I can't connect to my WiFi for 2 days. The router is ok because I can access to WiFi using other devices. But in my laptop (HP 240 G6 Notebook PC), i cannot connect to network and all the available WiFi networks shows 1wifi signal. Sometimes I got connected for a few minutes but internet speed was very slow like less than 100 kbps.
I turned hotspot on my mobile and connected to laptop and it worked well, I had access to internet using mobile's hotspot but I can't access to internet by the router's wifi. I tried every fixing method shown in this video: https://youtu.be/LPxxvGOkElg . I troubleshoot using HP Support Assistant but it didnt work. I did network reset and system restore as well. Also I scanned my laptop with Malwarebytes and there are no viruses. Can you help?

Hello @shaiyan111
Before we start to dive deeper into this problem, do the following:
(1) Take your smartphone (or ask a friend) and activate a Wifi Test Hotspot,
name it "shaiyan", <WPA2 Personal Encryption> with passwort 12345678
( or whatever you like )
(2) Now go your notebook and try to connect to your smartphone hotspot
(3) Does this work ?
best regards

Hello @shaiyan111
- What wifi router do use ?
- What are the wifi settings ? wifi channel ? wifi encryption ?
- Send pictures of the wifi settings ( make the Wifi password unrecognizable ! Sensitive data ! )
best regards

The model is Mi Router 4A(R4AC). It says the security type is WPA2 personal. Network channel is 1.
BTW, I found out that my laptop gets connected to Wi-Fi with high speed while it is placed next to ( or very near) to the router. My room is next to the WiFi room, so laptop doesn't get any Wi-Fi connection. But my phone and other devices gets fine connection from my room. 2 days ago my laptop was getting good connection from my room. What could be the problem?

Hello @shaiyan111
Try this and look around 😊

All you need is your MacBook running Mac OS X 10.10+ or any laptop with Windows 7/8/10 on board and NetSpot which works over any 802.11 network

Download from here and install to test:
If you blur all Access Point Names (SSID) with a paint program, you can send a screenshot and we can check your connection quality.
Please Report your results

Hello @shaiyan111
The level is too low even when it was just right next to the WIFI router. There is something wrong here ...
Ok we continue ...
To help you I need to know the product number (p/n) of your computer !
You will find this information on the back or side of your computer printed in small alphanumeric letters.
The product number (p/n) is legally allowed information, just about the computer, no sensitive data.
