Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
To verify the functionality of the wireless card, you may run a hardware test on the PC
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. Perform Component test > Network. Share the result on your next post.
These are the supported and compatible wireless cards with this model PC
● Atheros 9285G 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi Adapter
● Atheros 9280AGN 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi Adapter
● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi Adapter
● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo adapter
● Broadcom 43224 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi Adapter
● Ralink RT3090BC4 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo Adapter
