@jack1503, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
No worries at all — I’ll walk you through the steps as simply and clearly as possible! 😊 You’re trying to connect your HP Envy 4502 printer to a new Wi-Fi network, but accidentally deleted the printer from your Chromebook. Totally fixable!
✅ Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Wi-Fi
Let’s get your printer ready to connect to the new Wi-Fi.
- Turn on the printer.
- On the printer’s screen, press the Wireless icon.
- Press Settings (gear icon).
- Tap Restore Network Defaults or Wireless Settings > Restore Defaults.
- Confirm if asked.
This clears the old Wi-Fi info so it can connect to the new one.
✅ Step 2: Reconnect Printer to New Wi-Fi
Let’s get it onto your new Wi-Fi network.
- On the printer, go to Wireless Setup Wizard (under the Wireless or Network menu).
- It will scan for networks — select your new Wi-Fi name.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password (use the printer’s buttons to type).
Wait a moment while it connects. When done, the wireless light should stay solid blue.
✅ Step 3: Add Printer Back to Chromebook
- On your Chromebook, click the time (bottom right) > click the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced > click Printers under the “Printing” section.
- Click Add Printer.
- It should detect your HP Envy 4502 automatically.
- Click Add when it shows up.
Use HP Smart (Optional, but helpful)
If you have a phone or tablet, you can also install the HP Smart app to set things up more easily and check ink levels, etc.
- Download the app from the Play Store or App Store.
- Open the app and follow the steps to add your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
