Hi, @J4mes :

The only suggestion I can offer before you contact HP technical support for assistance under the warranty, would be to install the HP connection manager software and see if you can use that software to enable the bluetooth radio.

If you upgrade to W10, make sure you have the BT turned on, and uninstall the connection manager software before upgrading to W10!

The connection manager software is not compatible with W10, and if your BT radio was off at the time of upgrading to W10, you will not be able to turn it on again unless you revert to W7, turn the BT on and uninstalling the connection mgr software.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

I'm unsure. My collegue has an identical laptop and he has bluetooth but he is on windows 10

I could find that your model indeed came with Intel dual band wireless AC-7265 + Bluetooth combo adapter.

Are you not able to see any missing drivers, yellow exclamation mark?

Try this:

Unfortunatly no luck, after installing that driver

No excalamation marks in there at all. Also did a scan of new hardware and tried to manually add but nothing relating for bluetooth

When did you notice that there was no bluetooth in this notebook?

Is it a recent change?

Yesterday, I tried to connect to a speaker and realised it wasn't there. I haven't used it before

Then I can only think that your hardware doesn't support this functionality as Device Manager doesn't list any.

Weird, because HP part surfer, MSG do indicate that this Intel AC 7265 wireless card come with Bluetooth functionality in your model.

Any better suggestion that you could get is from HP Expert @Paul_Tikkanen

That's worked perfectly. I must've uninstalled thinking it was redundant software
