@koenyb I'd like to jump into this conversation in the hopes of pointing you towards the right direction to resolve the issue:

I went through the details so far and it looks like the wireless card is either faulty or malfunctioning if you've gone through everything you've mentioned so far and yet it doesn't resolve the issue:

I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, is yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

How can I reach support in the Netherlands? I should pay € 40 before this driver issue can be solved? I don't get it.

Unfortunately, we're still in support loop. No possibility to contact. Bought a new external wifi adapter to make it work. We're used to be able to contact HP support. Nowadays it's like:  notebook is 2 years old... sorry if your machine isn't working, but we are not open to any contact. Bad service and non-sustainable.

This situation will need some additional support from our internal teams in HP. For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please do check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Thanks!

Hello,

I wonder if you could suggest a similar solution for the  wifi "limited connection" for windows 8.1? My husband has this problem and downloaded the recommended driver but when he tried to open the file we realised that it is for windows 10. He deleted the current driver but we wonder now what to do next! Thanks, Hedi
