Envy 15-3040nr
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just had to replace the hard drive in my envy 15-3040nr . I’ve put Windows 7 on the hard drive but I can’t get on the Internet without the drivers to get on the Internet.   Is there a way to tell windows that it’s one of the windows 7 SP1 default adapters just to get it to work so that I can get the hp envy drivers ?

Hi:

You need these wifi and ethernet drivers for your notebook...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57090.exe

Download the drivers from another PC, copy them to a USB flash drive.

Plug the flash drive in your notebook's USB 2 port and install them from there.

I’ll try that . Once I get those drivers in I’ll be able to update everything.
thank you
