So i recently did some updates on my computer and even just updated my Itunes and as soon as my computer restarted I could no longer get my bluetooth to show up or work (so I now have no mouse) It has happened a few times before and I've managed to get it started but this time I've had no luck.

When i go to PC Settings - Network - Airplane Mode, I can't slide across the turn on Bluetooth!! Ive looked in device manager but can't find anything to do with bluetooth under Network Adaptors except Intel (R) Wireless-N 7260 if that has anything to do with Bluetooth??
Im not very good with all this technical stuff so someone please help!!

I've tried to install drivers but nothing has seemed to work, just won't let me turn on Bluetooth and I have no idea what to do

The computer came with windows 8.1

Had tried all that and it didnt work.

Have finally sorted my problem though

I went to my Windows C drive folder - SWSetup - Searched Bluetooth which then brought up Intel Bluetooth which I doubled clicked and repaired then restarted my computer and it has been working ever since!!

Thanks for your repy

Hello Shilla,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand Bluetooth is no longer working after a recent Windows update. The Bluetooth device is not always listed in network adapters. Sometimes you need to open Device Manager, click View at the top, and then choose Show hidden devices.

You can also try doing a system restore to before the update went through. You can access the recovery manager by repeatedly tapping F11 while the notebook turns on. Chose a restore point as close to today's date as possible, but before the issue started happening.

It would help to know which product you are using. For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

I look forward to your reply!

Thank you for posting your fix, Shilla. It worked for me and was much quicker than doing a system restore.

Shame on me for beta testing windows 10 for free.  After it went live, i found that I NO LONGER had bluetooth on my HP ENVY Touchsmart Notebook.

I have gone to the system drivers and cannot find the BLUETOOTH ANYWHERE.   Any other  suggestions if I cannot do the rollback?  Remember that windows 10 came out a while ago and there have been many updates since then.

THanks.  SMH
