Hi @SHREYASH7,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing sound issues with your HP Notebook - 15 laptop. There are a few possible reasons why the sound might not be clear. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check volume settings: Make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. Look for volume control keys on your keyboard or locate the volume icon in the system tray (usually located at the bottom right of the screen). Adjust the volume to an appropriate level.
  • Update audio drivers: Outdated or incompatible audio drivers can cause sound problems. Visit the official HP support website, enter your laptop's model number, and download the latest audio drivers for your specific laptop model. Install the drivers and restart your laptop to see if the issue is resolved.
  • Test with different audio sources: Try playing audio from different sources, such as music files, online videos, or streaming services. If the sound issue occurs with only one source, it may be an issue with that particular file or website.
  • Use headphones or external speakers: Connect a pair of headphones or external speakers to your laptop and check if the sound quality improves. If the sound is clear through external devices, it could indicate a problem with the laptop's built-in speakers.
  • Adjust audio settings: Open the sound settings on your laptop and ensure that the audio enhancements are disabled. Sometimes, audio enhancements can interfere with sound quality. Right-click the volume icon in the system tray, select "Playback devices," choose your speakers, click "Properties," and navigate to the "Enhancements" tab. Check the "Disable all enhancements" box and click "OK."
  • Run the audio troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify and resolve common sound issues. Right-click the volume icon in the system tray, select "Troubleshoot sound problems," and follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
  • Perform a system update: Make sure your laptop has all the latest Windows updates installed. Updates can include bug fixes and improvements that may resolve sound-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
