Hi! @Jaya_krishna, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you have issues connecting to a hotspot from a PC.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.

If you are creating a mobile hotspot from your PC, you have to check if the wireless adapter on your PC supports hosted networks.

Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut, and select Command Prompt

NETSH WLAN show drivers

If the generated output shows Hosted network supported: Yes

If it does not support you cannot create a wireless hotspot from your PC.

If the wireless card supports hosted network try the steps recommended below to create a hotspot.

Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu, and select Network Connections.
Next, right-click the network adapter with an internet connection – this could be a traditional Ethernet or wireless network adapter — select Properties.
Note: In Network Connections, you should now see a new our new Microsoft Hosted Virtual Adapter which is labeled Local Area Connection* X, and with the SSID name.

Click the Sharing tab. Check the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection option.
Next, from the Home networking connection drop-down menu select the Microsoft Hosted Virtual Adapter.
Click OK to finish.

Also, Please try few steps mentioned below.

1. Go to control panel.

2. Go to network and the internet.

3. Go to network connections.

4. In related settings, go to "Change adapter options"

5. Right click on "wireless network connection" and go to properties.

6. Click "Configure and then Advance

7. In properties, "802.11n Preamble", selected, select value "mixed mode" And click ok and click done

If the above-mentioned steps do not work try the steps below.

1-go to settings.

2-click wifi and the internet.

3-click manage wifi settings

4-click the network or the hotspot you used to connect to the internet using windows 7 or 8.

5-click forget to remove it from the wifi list.

6-click to scan wifi.

7-select the same hotspot.

8-enter hotspot security key

Change encryption type from TKIP to AES (Right-click on the network connection to mobile hotspot>Properties>Security tab. The Security type is set to WPA2-Personal.
