I would like to take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. I came across you post and would like to help. I read that you have an HP Pavillion 17 Notebook and it does not connect to your wifi where other devices connect fine. I also read that this same laptop works with another wifi over the hotspot. There seems to be a yellow star on the wireless icon.
I recommend you to perform the below steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a solution:
- Please try to manually connect the laptop to the wireless network, view this video for detailed steps: http://hp.care/2hgosgY (this is a 3rd party link and I suggest you to ignore the ads.)
- If the laptop still doesn't connect then the solutions are explained in detail in this document: http://hp.care/2caW6kZ
Feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂
