From your description, the printer is perhaps falling off the network (disconnecting) and is unable to find its way back (reconnect).

If not done,

Try / Consider

  • Assign the printer its own manual / static IP address.
  • If you are forced to use wireless and the printer is connected to the 5GHz frequency, consider moving the printer to the 2.4GHz.  "Faster" is useless if the printer won't stay connected.
  • Update / check your router -- a weak, outdated, old, poorly placed, or incompletely configured router can be a problem for any network it is meant to support.
  • Check the router logs for hints about why the printer is dropping from the network.
  • Check the number of simultaneous connections to the printer -- some printers only support (for example) one to three "same time" users.

Next,

Offline Condition

Although the printer appears to be switched on, it does not communicate with other devices on your network.

What you do to correct the issue depends on the underlying cause.

Restart Everything, including the router that controls your network

Next,

If your printer is assigned a manual / static IP address and it is known that it should be able to find its way back onto the network – Reset the Printer.
