I was able to get into the bios setting.  found network boot was disabled.  after enable it and restart the laptop, I am able to see the local network adapter again.  Thanks!

But I am back to the original issues that when I plug cable to a network , the adapter status will show not connected.  Since the network cable connection was working before the upgrade to window11, so I believe it is related to the upgrade.  Wonder if you could help further troubleshoot this.

Thanks!  James

You're welcome !

After try to update the driver to the network adaptor, got the following message:

Check the devicemanager, the local adapter has disappeared again.  But when I go into the bios setting, the network boot is still enabled.  so I am not sure what happened.

Hello @James_Huang

Do what the message tells you to do. Connect the LAN cable and rerun the setup.

Hello @James_Huang

Check Windows <device manager> again if lan adapter is present. If this is the case, you do not need to perform the setup. Reboot Windows, connect LAN cable and test.

Kind regards

plug the cable to the a live port on the router.  Still get the same message.

I went to disable the network boot on the bios.  After reboot I got the network adapter on the devicemanager again.  But show errors this time.  And will not be able to install the driver for it now.
