I did the bios update with the file from the link you supplied. Also I installed the new network adapter driver that you supplied, but it says no adapter detected.  So I tried to change the setting on bios for network boot like I did earlier, but on devicemanager, the network will not show up.  So at this point, I do not know what else can be done.  At least I can still use the wifi for internet for now.   Thanks for your help!  James

It is probably a technical problem with the LAN device.
