zbook 15 g2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

IT gave me a  quad core zbook 15 g2 that does not have bluetooth.  I would like to swap out the WLAN card for one with BT but came across this in the quickspecs document:

Integrated Bluetooth® is also available (factory configurable only) and can be combined with any of the supported wireless LAN and wireless WAN options.

From the quickspecs document here are the approved WLAN cards:

Intel Dual Band Wireless-NB 7260 802.11 a/b/g/n (2x2) WiFi

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combo

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AN 7260 802.11 a/b/g/n (2x2) WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combo

Has anyone else ever swapped out a WLAN card and added BT to their laptop?  What is done at the factory to enable the laptop to see the BT component of the WLAN card?

I previously tried with a Probook 640 g1 and had no luck.

Thank you for your assistance.

Once the dual function wifi + BT card is installed you just have to install the right driver and you have BT and yes I have done that quite a few times for folks who wanted to add BT.
