Hi all,

I've recently noticed the keyboard on my laptop was looking a bit bulged, and after some searching came across this thread:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Pavilion-Swelled-Up-Battery...

Sure enough, after a quick peek inside, the battery on my just-2-year-old HP laptop has swollen.

This is not safe. I can't use my laptop. I don't know what to do with my laptop. The battery recall programme insists that there is nothing wrong with the battery, why? is it normal for all batteries to do this after just over 2 years of use? if this is in fact a rare thing, okay, don't recall everything - but why not replace these clearly defective batteries for the 5 people that would like them replaced?

Needless to say.. it's just sad. And I know people say this all the time and nobody here cares, but.. this will be the last HP product I bought. Will also be replacing the printer, don't want to support HP by buying HP ink.

Thank you, HP, for selling defective products and being so cheap you refuse to make things right for the people you've wronged.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
