Hi there  @Sakthi03  ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! I read your post on the HP Support Forums and see that you are having issues with Airplane Mode. You had mentioned that the Notebook automatically switches to Airplane Mode.

I would be happy to assist you. If any of the steps I provide in this post help you to resolve the issue, please mark this post as an Accepted Solution so that other's with the same issue can find the solution.

I have found a document for you called Airplane Mode and a Forums Post on the Microsoft Community called Want to disable Airplane mode. Even though the document says Windows 8, it should still work for Windows 10.

After the Notebook restart's you should not have the Airplane Mode anymore.

Please re-post with your Model Number (How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?) if you require further assistance and I would be happy to research this issue for you further.

Thank you for posting!

Have a great day!

I have found a document for you called Airplane Mode and a Forums Post on the Microsoft Community called Want to disable Airplane mode. Even though the document says Windows 8, it should still work for Windows 10. Here are the steps that the post provides:

Go to the start menu
Search for "brightness"
Click on Adjust Screen Brightness
On the side you will see "Panel Open-Power On" click on that
Go to keyboard tab
Check the option that says "Standard F1~F12 mode"
Then it'll say that you have to restart computer

Click yes to restart now

After the Notebook restart's you should not have the Airplane Mode anymore.

Hi there,

I understand that you could not find the power on in the Windows 10 menu. As the Windows 10 menu is a little different, please try these steps instead:

Open Settings

Click Network & Internet
Click Airplane mode on the left side,

Turn off Airplane mode

You can look at the How to Turn On or Off Airplane Mode in Windows 10 tutorial if you need to also. There are also a couple more methods that you can use to try and turn off Airplane Mode. Although this site is not affiliated with HP, it does have steps that are geared to Windows 10 instead to eliminate confusion. Please refrain from clicking on any of the ads as they have not been tested by myself and I cannot speak to the validity of them.

I hope that this helps. Please let me know!

It is not working, unable to turn off wifi. Yesterday I had a conversation with Windows support team. Please find the below details. I am highly disappointed with HP for providing upgrade with out testing. Kindly help me to downgrade to Windows8.1

I see. Here is what I have found regarding your device. You current hp device is not yet been tested to windows 10, not tested device will have reduced functionality or system glitches. So the recommendation is to revert back to previous windows.

Meaning your device is not been proven that it can carry windows 10 without issues.

Me

so Microsoft aware these devices are not fit, then why they gave update. so Microsoft is testing their products by using end users..

Microsoft windows is an operating system and will provide update for the windows/Microsoft products alone and it is being sent to windows update (notification). Carriers (HP,DELL,ASUS etc) are the one responsible to monitor their device is it can run into a new windows. That is why we provide disclaimer that user should check or consult their manufacturer first if their device can run to windows 10.

Hey,

If you have already reinstalled the driver provided and it isn't resolving the issue, the next step is to typically restore the original drivers from the recovery disks. This won't be possible if you upgraded from the operating system that came with the computer. I would recommend you contact phone support, but they might have to revert your operating system back to the factory configuration, which means you wouldn't be in Windows 10 any more. If you wish to contact phone support please use the following link to create yourself a case number:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Thanks!
