Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought this laptop two weeks ago for my daughter.  It hasn't been dropped or damaged.  It started crashing all the time and wouldn't boot up.  HP helpline sent a recovery USB stick from Singapore that doesn't work (error message said it was incompatible).  I tried to perform a system reset but that seems to have failed.  Now when I press the start key, the HP logo comes up and it says 'preparing' and then there is an "Install windows" error message.  "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpeccted error.  Window installation cannot proceed.  To install windows, to click 'OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation".

Pressing 'OK' just makes it restart and crash in the same way.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Tap F2 as you power up to go into diagnostics and run the hardware tests. Post back with results.
