Hi Kos-d

Ok your message just came through.  You say the drivers  - how many drivers are you showing?  You can only have one driver installed, do you have more than one listed in the device manager for the Atheros WIFI?

I'm trying to help you, so I need you to be more specific.  What driver do you have listed?

Did you download the version for Windows 8 and for whether you have 32bit or 64bit this is important?

Did you delete the old driver, restart the pc, then install the new driver?

You mention the bars showing not good on one but good on the other???   Forget that, do you have internet connection and it is staying connected?  And are you able to visit the sites you are interested in?  The bars showing may not be accurate.

I corrected the situation. All of it was the fact that when I took apart the wire was disconnected and MAIN connector itself is damaged. Marriage in the assembly is likely. While holding - and it works. You will either be glued or replaced.

Hi Kos-d

Just got your message and you have the wrong driver installed - you've installed driver 10.0.0.256 (April 2013)

you need to install the correct driver version 10.0.0.251 (May 2013)

Download the correct driver make sure its for Windows 8 and for either 32bit or 64bit system.

download it save to desktop then delete the driver you have installed besure to delete it from your system so on a restart it doesn't reinstall, restart the pc, now install the correct driver.

here's the link again:

scroll to the bottom and download either for 32 or 64 bit double check which you system is running.
