Hi,
Your driver is outdated. Here's where you can get the newest version (10.0.0.251) of the driver for Atheros AR9485
http://www.station-drivers.com/
I have had this update installed since June 2013 and have no connections issues at all.

ok you installed the latest driver which is version 10.0.0.251
to make sure it is installed correctly go to your computers device manager and click on 'network' and check your version of the Atheros driver. Is it the new driver? Did you download the version for Window 8?
If it is great, now delete the driver, and restart your computer, the driver will reinstall and you should be ok.
It's important when you update the Atheos driver that you first download the new driver and save it to your desktop then delete the old driver from your network (under device manager)then restart the computer and now click on the folder you saved to your desktop and install the new driver.
Here's a more direct site to get the new driver, this one is for Windows 8
