Try this and tell me the result: remove the battery while the computer is working and insert it back.

i found the unswer  to my problem. I went to HP website and found it..this is for my laptop model...

How does the notebook charge the battery?
Adhering to recommendations by battery cell suppliers and best practices, the notebook does not continue charging the battery once the battery is 100% fully charged. Once the battery is 100% fully charged, the 'terminate charge bit' is set, preventing the battery from charging. The battery does not clear the 'terminate charge bit' until after the fuel gauge falls below 94%. Once the battery fuel gauge falls below 94%, the 'charge bit' is set and the battery does begin charging with the AC adaptor connected to the notebook. If the AC adaptor is disconnected between the levels of 94% to 100%, the 'charge bit' will not be set and the notebook will no longer charge the battery.

Ok guys so here is what i am going to do in order to get rid of this problem as i am having the same and its KILLING ME.

First of all i will unplug the the battery bring a hammer and hit it so bad until it turns into dust, then hit every single peice of dust seperatly until it turns into an atom.

Second of all i will find the highest building here in prague take my Envy 17 hp computer on the roof top of it and throw it from there.

For god sakeprofessional HP employyes help us out, why do we have to go through all of this if we have a new computer????

1 last thing i need to add before the battery is 0% and i have to wait for my pc to charge.

It does not always says plugged in not charging, it only does that once i am gaming or using many programs. If i was not gaming it says plugged in charging but my pc still uses more power than it takes in, so the battery charge slowly goes down. In order to make it charge i have to make sure im not using any single program and make sure my PC temp. is not going up.

PS. fan is cleaned.

Oh I was going to toss it into the ocean., my computer is being held together by duct tape because the hinges broke off. This computer is garbage.  {Content Removed} HP would probably want a refund though...

This is the solution, and it works:

1. Startup your laptop
2. After startup, disconnect the charger
3. Shutdown the system
4. Remove the battery
5. Plug-in the charger
6. Start-up the system (without the battery)
7. Open 'COMPUTER' and click 'SYSTEM PROPERTIES'
8. Click on 'DEVICE MANAGER'
9. Click on '+' at the front of 'BATTERIES'
10. From the drop-down options, right-click and uninstall all the options on it and leave only the 'COMPOSITE BATTERY' option.
11. Shutdown
12. Disconnect the charger
13. Insert battery
14. Connect the charger and startup

There you go. Let's hear some testimonies.
