Thank you for the response.  I did the recovery from the discs I received from HP directly.  I did not install anything else on my computer--I wanted to see if it was okay first.  It still is opening the windows.  I tried to rule out my keyboard as an issue by disconnecting it and it worked okay for about an hour then started up again.  I will watch the video.  Thank you for helping.

The recovery was very easy with the hp discs. I still have the problem. Is it possible it is hardware? Could it be window updates?

Hi Batron,

I was not able to see in any previous posts if this happens only within Internet Explorer. Does this also happen when you're using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox? If not, would you be able to try either of them?

Looking forward to your response!

Thank you,

It happens with any browser I use.  Tried Firefox and chrome and had to uninstall them both.

Hi Batron,

Did this occur when the keyboard was disconnected at all? Or did it act up again once you plugged the keyboard back in?

Thank you,

I disconnected my laptop keyboard and just have a USB keyboard attached.  The laptop keyboard never got reconnected.

Have you tried changing your Home page to something besides Google, such as MSN or Yahoo to see if that makes a difference?
