@lehieu77,

I understand that you downloaded the sp61632.exe from a third party site.  It looks like the official version of the HP file is still not listed on the FTP site found here at this time.  There may be a reason the file is still not listed.  I would advise to wait until the official version is back on the FTP site.

I too am having this problem.   In speaking with HP Support, they tell me that the link is not functioning properly.  That you cannot use Internet Explorer or Chrome for the download, but if you use Firefox it should work.  Wouldn't it be easier for HP to fix the link than for everyone else to have to download & install a new browser for one update?

Did you have any success using Firefox?  I don't suspect that Firefox will work as it did not for me using the same links provided earlier in the thread.

The core of the issue with the link, based on what I am seeing in this thread and what I have seen on the FTP site linked earlier, is that the target file is missing from the FTP site that it is being pulled from.  If that is the case, then no browser should be able to download the file through the link.

The following is the message I received when attempting to download the file using Firefox.

I haven't tried it.   I don't believe all  HP customers should have to download and install a new browser, install one update and then uninstall the browser.  It should be HP's responsibility to fix the link so it is available to all users. Am waiting to hear back from support as this was my response to them as well.  I'm not having any issues with my laptop at this time, so am going to hold off on this update for right now.

Now all of the sudden this update is not compatible with my computer, per HP Total Care..,... ??????

Installing a different browser shouldn't work at all.  The core of the issue is that the file being referenced, sp61632.exe, is missing from the download location.

The following is the link that is currently available.

 http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/sp61632.exe

The following is the directory where the link is pulling the file from.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/

As noted earlier in the thread, the file sp61632.exe is not listed.  If it is missing, then no browser should work.  Essentially what I am trying to say is that using a different browser isn't necessary as it won't make the file appear and work instantly.  If the file was listed at the destination, that would be a different story then.

@weimtime2,

Did you access the link through your product's support page or through this thread?

avjohnnie, whom tried to access the update through his product's support page, is the one that initially provide the link in this thread.  That indicates that their system should support the missing file.  If the link isn't on your product's support page, then it is either not supported or they took the link down since it wasn't leading to an existing file.

I was trying to download the link off of their support page, where their system scanned my computer and stated it was a needed update.  Now when I question the reality of their browser theory instead of HP fixing the link, all of the sudden the update "isn't compatible" with my computer??? (per HP Total Care)

It sounds like you used the scan now option on your product's support page.

Lasvegaswireman has provided one explanation earlier in the thread, but it looks like the file was back on the FTP site temporarily as others had momentary success with it.  I'll see if I can't find out what's going on with the file.  Do note it may take up to two weeks before I can come back with a response.
