You're very welcome.

You can remove the card (normally very easy to do), get the part number from it and see if you can find a used but tested and working replacement on eBay.

Otherwise, you can purchase an external usb wireless adapter.

Have a great evening!

Hi:

Click on the Network Controller ! in the device manager and post the hardware ID for it.

Use this guide as an example for where to find the hardware ID for the network controller.

hi to my new expert in usa from david in London

i opened device manager for network controller and then clicked details

and

there are none !

under general it just says     PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0

however uber resources it omiously says

this device isnt using any as it has a problem

i wonder if a connection has fallen off

the cable internet works as i'm using it now !

is the network controller just used for wireless and not cable internet ?

HP Recommended

no info on network controller uner details tab

and no resources under that tab

Hi, David.

You have to click on the Details tab and then drop down on the property list and select the second item hardware ID's.

There you will find a line of characters that begins with PCI\VEN.

That is the wireless card that needs drivers.  The wireless card is just used for wireless networking.

Hi:
