I have the exact same problem and the exact same computer (compaq Presario CQ56). My Hardware lds for the Network adapters is the same, but my network controller Hardware lds value is different. Could you please find the correct driver for me to install? (I have tried for a while but I cannot find it. :smileyindifferent: )

Here are the Hardware lds values

Network adapters: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1604103C&REV_02
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1604103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200

Network Controller

PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_3040103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_3040103C
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_0280

Also, the Network Controller appears to be the messed up one, as it is using no resources because "it has a problem." When I click on Network Controller and then click on the Driver tab, it tells me this:

Driver Provider:       Unknown

Driver Date:              Not available

Driver Version:         Not available

Digital Signer:           Not digitally signed

I know these are slightly trivial details. I simply posted them because they further support my hypothesis that I need to install the correct Wireless LAN Driver.

Hi:

See if these drivers work for the Atheros network controller...

Your ethernet controller should be working properly if it is listed by name and listed under the Network Adapters category in the device manager.  That would be the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller.
