Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Here is my problem. I purchased a custom 17in Notebook with all the bells and whistles back in October. When it finally arrived its edges were sharp and hurt my fingers a little and I chalked it up to buying it sight unseen. otherwise it worked great. The design flaw I found is that I Have to open the screen from the corners which seemed odd to me but what the hell it was new and I figured the people at HP knew what they were doing. Normally there is a place on the top center of the screen in which I could open the Notebook without putting dagnal stress on the screen.   It seems that over time the lid gets weeker from opening at the corners and the Screens crack diagnally when you open it. Upon reporting the defect I am told that I have to pay for a screen and they won't listen that this is a defect in the style of case that they built. That even if I get it fixxed it will break again because of the defect.  Does anyone else have this problem.  The customer service in India was no help. You cannot understand them as the voice delay when they speak cuts off what they are saying.  I made the first guy get a  a superviser who hung up on me! When I called back I got anothert person who said  he would get everything sorted out for about half the price then renigged on that after I said OK to the $249 price and then he said it was $459 to fix it.  The first guy said $499.

Back to the issue at hand. So I asked where is Hp located in California so I can take this to them directly...No body could answer the question....... Jeeze realy.  If this is the way HP is going...the ship is sinking fast.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.
