Hello @frankricher ,

I understand you are having issues with heat on your ENVY notebook.

The temperatures you listed are quite high for even the ENVY notebooks that run warmer than most notebooks (stronger CPU's and metal bodies). I would take the time to go through this document: Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating.

Given the fact that the notebook is relatively new, I would suggest contacting HP Phone Support for service or repair options if that does not resolve the issue. Continuing to operate at temperatures this high will cause long term problems with the computer. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. Hi

First of all I appreciated your help.

Can you tell what is this label? (in picture) on the bottom of my notebook pc. I have never seen it before on any of my HP pcs or notebook pcs, so what is it? .Thank you !2014-08-20-02-43-37-639.jpg

Hey frankricher,

Assuming the sticker you're referring to is the one with the CMS 1998 CLASS on it, that's a Malaysian CMA Register. You can read about the Malaysian laws that require these here: CMA Registers.

To make it short: It has to be there for certain electronics in Malaysia.

Thanks! 🙂
