ProBook 650 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We use ProBook 650's at work and have recently taken delivery of a new batch of laptops which are G3's. These only seem to have drivers for Windows 10. We are not ready to roll out Windows 10, we still use Windows 7. I have noticed that most of the drivers work fine on the G3's however i'm really struggling to get the graphics card driver to install. I've tried the Windows 10 driver, tried downloading it from Intel themselves but all i get it that my computer doesn't meet the required specs. Windows has installed the generic VGA driver however this does not allow use of an external monitor. Has anyone managed to find Windows 7 drivers for these laptops?

These are Kaby Lake (7th gen) machines and Intel and Microsoft have decided not to support Windows 7 in any way on those processors. Specifically, there is no Intel graphics (or wired ethernet) driver officially published for Kaby Lake. I did find this article where there is a published Beta video driver that is supposed to work:

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/INTEL/MSI-B250M-PRO-VD-Intel-Graphics-Driver-21-20-1...

Please report back to us how it works as I do not have a Kaby Lake machine to test it on.

Hi, @simonjhutton :

Try the Intel graphics driver mod as indicated in the last reply on the discussion below.

The Probook 450 G4 has the Kaby Lake chipset.

This has worked on all Probook G4's and several HP consumer notebook's with the same graphics.

Hi, @ankita1720 :

sp78781 downloads just fine for me -- all 236 MB, so I don't know what to tell you.

Try it directly from the 450 G4 support page, would be the only other suggestion I can offer.
