I'm very disappointed in how slow it is. I'm going to school for programming and it takes forever for it to just load. I should have read the specs before I bought it, but I use a MAC as my main computer and the HP for programming. My MAC has me spoiled.

I am confused, on this web page (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03499287
HP specifies "Memory Max Maximum supported = 8GB" for this Laptop (Hp 2000).
I have 4 GB (2x2G sticks) installed and my OS only "sees" 3 GB as reported in Windows 7.
So, who is correct?
Is there any way to see the entire memory installed in Win 7 home Premium?
What is the maximum size memory stick this laptop will accept and recognize?
