Have been having this issue since I got the computer (Mid Octocober) tried many 'fixes' but none have worked. The laptop often freezes and restarts itself when the issue occurs. Similar to these people

This seems like a really common issue with these laptops. I'm having the same issue and I've seen a lot of posts about it. I haven't seen anybody thats been able to fix the issue and the only thing you can really do is get a different laptop.

Yes it's an absolute joke that a $650 laptop can't even stay connected to WiFi. Unrealted but can I ask how you find battery life?

HP Recommended

The battery life is pretty bad. The cooling and fan curve for this laptop is absolutely terrible. The fan is constantly on at a clearly audible level when idling and it'll start to sound like a hair dryer if you do anything intensive. This really reduces battery life, even when running in power save mode. Theoretically the chip in the laptop should be able to handle some light gaming but HP throttles it to keep the temperature below 70 celcius when it's rated up to 95 degrees, so the chip constantly runs at 400 mhz when it can go up to 800.

Yeah its the same for me. Fan is always on and battery is crap, largely as a result of this.
