Dear everbody,

I just got my HP Folio G1 1040 on Friday.

I would like to restore my notebook to factory settings again. HP delivered the DVDs (Win7 and Drivers Recovery), I could restore my laptop, but still it does not look like when I started it the first time.

I tried with f11, but unfortunately nothing happens. When I boot and press ESC I get to the menu, but there is no recovery option, actually no f11.

Another point to mention is, that I did not create any recovery dvds as I had the dvds mentioned above delivered with the notebook...

So my question is: how can I restore my laptop to factory settings again?

thank you very much.

kind regards,

DHV1010

Hello @DHV1010

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 is a commercial product. You can do this here Notebook - HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq, Slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE

The support page for your product may be helpful in the meantime: HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 Notebook PC.

I hope this helps!
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

If you are unable to restore to factory image using "F11", you will need to restore from the two DVD's that shipped with the notebook.  What is the part number listed on the DVD media?
