Thanks to both of you. I succeded in downloading the last drivers package from sites.amd.com and installing it, the mobility one 🙂

how on the earth you have done it? the hp page shows that the last driver for my 5650 is dated by 2010, and i've got new catalyst from AMD page and it says that it doesn't support my hardware.

uninstall all catalyst, reinstall the newest pack with the newset driver, go to device manager open the graphics device, push update driver, push browse my computer ----> let me pick my driver from a list. Then just pick the driver you want to use.

i tried to find the newest pack on the amd page, but there is no any driver in the search result, only HydraVision, Codec package and Verification Tool. Where did you get it?

Ehm... sorry, I was wrong in explaining what I did. By the way, it was sufficient to download the mobility package wherever from the web. I got it from: http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=155796&t=0&i=1

If you look carefully, it's named ''12.3 MOBILITY''. I think it supports all mobility card drivers 😉

Then, I got rid of it and installed 12.4, the beta one. It works better. http://download.benchmark3d.com/AM [...] -Vista.exe

Ps. Whatever you're trying to do, you've to look for ''MOBILITY'' in the packages' names (for example, if you search by google). If you still don't success in installing them, please ask me 🙂
