Hi there. I recently started using my Pavilion g6 (b1r13ea) with my LG TV and it worked perfectly, plug and play, like its supposed to. It always auto detected, and allowed me to duplicate or extend screens. It worked fine for 2 days, and then the next day I plugged it in and got "No Signal". I tried 3 different HDMI cables, and always the same problem. I thought it might be the TV, but I have plugged it into another HDMI TV, as well as a monitor with HDMI input, and I always get "No signal".
I thought maybe the HDMI port might be broken, but the odd thing is, if I plug it in I get the sound saying it has connected something, the screen goes black and then returns, and if I go to the resolution change area it does often show the additional device, showing the correct resolution and everything, but I dont get any picture?
Also occasionally it comes up showing "Multiple Monitors" on the same resolution screen, rather than monitor one and monitor 2.
Can anyone help me with this? I was about to undertake a major video editing job on this laptop and I really could do with being able to extend my display! Thanks!

Additional - I tried updating the graphics card drivers to see if that would help, it detected that it needed new ATI Catalyst software, I installed that but no effect. Also if I plug in a standard monitor using VGA it detects that OK, but refuses to display any HDMI device.

I understand you are no longer able to get video on any TV using HDMI.
Are you able to get sound as well?
You can try going over the basic causes in this document.
Multiple HDMI cables have been used to rule the cable out and it happens on all monitors/TVs to rule out the display. The only component left is the notebook. This could be a hardware issue.
You could try a system restore to a date when it was working (if it was an update issue, this may help), but going back this many months may not work anyway. The final step will be to perform a full system recovery (power on and press F11 about once a second). If you choose to do a system recovery, be sure to backup your files.
Since it worked at one point, performing a recovery and verifying the existence of the issue post recovery would help isolate it to a hardware issue or a software issue.

If the OS hasn't been changed, there should be a recovery partition (the D drive) which pressing F11 during the power on process should start the recovery process. Otherwise, you should be able to use the recovery disks that were made at the initial setup.
