Hi,
Its been a while since the integrated webcam stopped working. OS that time was Windws 8. I have tried most of the solution I could find on the web and this forum. Camera is not recognised in the device manager. If I restore using HP restore it starts working. But after a while it just stops working.
I hoped after upgradin to Windows 10 it might start working but NO, its still not working.
Any solutions, suggestions.
Thank you in advance
AL

Hi SDF15,
I have already reviwed the documents you mentioned.
Issue is camera is not listed in the device manager. If I restore Windows I can see it. But restore would take me back to Windows 8
Now I am on Windows10, how do I make it work?
Best Regards,
Aziz

Hello @AL9999,
Thank you for the quick reply!
I understand that the Webcam is not showing up in the Device Manager. Usually after scanning the system for new hardware, or performing a System Restore, the Webcam should be visible again. If you are still having trouble, then the Webcam may have become disconnected internally. If you are comfortable with the process, you can try checking the cable, to see if the Webcam is connected properly. You can use the following guide to assist you, if needed:
HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide (Chapter 4, Page 67-72).
If you are not comfortable with the process, then you may consider contacting HP Phone Support for additional options. Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a case for your issue and contact HP. If you live outside the US/Canada, please click the link below to get the contact information for your region.

Hi SDF15,
Appreciate your help.
My laptop came with Windows 8. Later I upgraded to 8.1 but due to the 2 video card I was getting a blank screen. Reverted back to windows 8 using HP recovery. HP Web cam was working.
Last month upgraded to Windows 10 and HP web cam is not detected. If I recover system will go back to Windows 8.
By mistake I used the term Restore.
Best Regards,
Aziz
