I have a hp dv7-6c43cl.Its been around an year since I've bought it. at first for a few months the webcam and the integrated microphone worked fine, noe for some time both of them don't work. Cyberlink you cam doesnt detect the webcam, neither does skype. in the device manager, there isnt even an "imaging device" icon anymore.I tried restoring it but all of the restore points are from after the webcam and mic stopped working.I even restored the laptop to the factory settings but even that hasnt been useful.

Ive been searching the internet for a hp true vision HD webcam driver but there is nothing at all.Any help would be appreciated.

Hello msubhan2295,

I see that you are having a problem with the webcam on your HP computer. From the troubleshooting you stated you have done it sounds like a hardware issue. If the unit is in warranty I would suggest contacting HP for repair.

Here are the contact options for computers purchased in the US.
