Actually, I determined that my camera had come unplugged underneath the casing. Luckily it was at the connection near the top of the screen, but I don't understand why this would happen. I haven't been doing anything to my laptop that would cause this to disconnect. Is this a common problem? I found that someone else had listed it on either this forum or another one. If it is common, how can I go about getting a final solution to this rather than painfully removing the top of the screen casing and plugging it back in myself (it was very difficult and I worry about damaging my screen.

What operating system do you have?
What is the model of the webcam?
What exactly is the issue?

Hi Ramesh999,
I understand you are looking to activate your HP TrueVision HD webcam on your HP Pavilion 15-E0017tx. If you follow this document on how to connect HP computers to the built-in webcams and Windows 8.
