I tried to rename the file "3623F46.fd" to "3623.BIN" and copied to the folder (G= USB) :

G:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current

Restart pc with Key "windows+B+ Power" usb inserted BUT does not work!

I also tried to change his name to :
3623.BIN
3627.BIN
3628.BIN
3629.BIN
3624.BIN
nothing nothing nothing nothing!!!!!! PC only emits sounds (Beep)

So what do I do? I can indicate the procedure?

Sorry to bother you.

You are not bothering me in the least regster.

Have you tried the first solution without the USB stick? "Recovering the BIOS using key press combination"

Just the Window+B before pressing and holding power for 1 second and releasing all 3.
Waiting 40+ seconds? What happens after doing this?

Try it a few times to make sure the timing is correct.

yes I tryed!      Unfortunately I changed the HDD and partition recovery is not present.

I'm sure the bios is corrupt, because I tried to update it myself and after restarting, froze at the bios screen.

I only took the file    "3623F46.fd"     Unzipped from ".exe" and copied to the folder (G= USB) :

G:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current

change his name to  I tried all possible combinations with USB ""HP_TOOLS":
3623.BIN
3627.BIN
3628.BIN
3629.BIN
3624.BIN

-----------

03623.BIN
03627.BIN
03628.BIN
03629.BIN
03624.BIN

-----------

3623.fd
3627.fd
3628.fd
3629.fd
3624.fd

-----------

03623.fd
03627.fd
03628.fd
03629.fd
03624.fd

nothing nothing nothing nothing!!!!!! PC only emits sounds (Beep)

Hi Gary50, I would very much like to assist you on your issue. I would need to know the operating system of you computer.  Is it windows 7 or 8?

Here is a driver download site that may help with updating your BIOS to the proper settings.

Sorry your still having issues.  May I please know what operating system your are running?  Windows 7 or windows 8?  If you are running windows 8, is it the new 8.1 ?

The information I am asking for will help me narrow down the search to better resolve the issue.

Thank you

My friend has asked to fix his notebook, HP G62-144DX, because its screen changed black during using. I got information about this issue and found that this notebook needs to update its BIOS. I downloaded SP52604, F.37, because its current one is F.08 and ran. Unfortunately, the notebook freezed during update and nothing happen while booting. I tried BIOS recovery by key combination, Windows + B, but I couldn't. I checked hard disk on other computer. In the "HP_TOOLS" partition, no "BIOS" and "BIOSUPDATE" directories. Only "DIagnostics". I downloaed SP63065, UEFI Support, and installed on USB stick which named "HP_TOOLS" and formatted "FAT32". I extracted SP52604 by Winrar and copied 1425F37.fd, 1484F37.fd and 21484F37.fd files into "New" directory on USB stick because I don't know which fd file is needed on this notebook. I plug in this USB into notebook, press "Windows and B", press power button for 1 seconds and released all 3 buttons. I heard Beep sound 2 times and nothing happen. I tried many times but no BIOS update process.

1. Is this notebook supported UEFI Support function?

2. Can I use SP63065 with USB stick on this notebook? Or ealier version?

3. Is it right to copy all fd file into "New" directory? or specific file? or change name to *.bin?

Your reply will be appreciated.
