I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I appreciate you forwarding my problem.  Thank You.  Hopefully HP will be able to resolve this issue for me and the turn over is quickly.

Hi, my HP is also demonstrating symptoms of the broken hinge issue. I am a student and need my computer, but I don't want to risk damaging my computer. Can someone let me know the costs, timeline, and process of how to get this product defect fixed?

Also, I orginally purchased an extended warranty, but did not register it. If this is recovered can it replace the costs?

Thank you!

I would suggest you back your lesson plans up to Microsoft Onedrive and make use of the free 15GB on offer. It won't fix the hinge but will allow you access while HP "resolve" the feature.

Where can the HP be repaired in the UK please?

I also have two HP Envy m6 computers where either one or both hinges are broken and the computers cannot be opened.  Both are for my boy's use in school and now they are unable to do their work.

I see a lot of people on here with the same problem my left hand  hinge has snapped with the screen coming away because of it and to be honest I find it shocking that this could happen within a couple of years of purchasing the laptop, no doubt HP wont consider fixing this problem for free even though its an obvious manufacturing defect. and the problem only occured through normal use. Laptop hasnt been dropped or misused in any way.

I normally buy top quality laptops but bought this for my wife as it was cheapish but expected it to last longer than 2 years and quite honestly cant believe so many people have the same problem!!

Would it be possible to forward this to HP to see if they can fix this manufacturing defect.

Thank you

Mine is doing the same and I can't figure out how to contact support.  There isn't an email form?

I take it my enquiry is being completely ignored then?
