Hey,
Thank you for the information. I am sorry to hear that the driver did not resolve the issue. For the removable disk drive showing, is there a memory card in the card reader?
Once you have made sure that there is not memory card in the reader. Open up the Add and Remove programs, and uninstall the Ricoh Media Card Reader Host Controller Driver. I have included the document 'How to change or remove a program in Windows XP'.
After the above step has been completed, you will then need to open the Device Manager and delete any unknown devices. I have included the steps below.
* Click on start
* Click on Control Panel
* Click on Device Manager
* Click on View at the top
* Click on show hidden devices
Then for any unknown devices
* Right click on the device
* Click on remove/ delete
After this is done you will need to restart your computer. With the computer restarted, it may state that it has found new hardware and install it. The next steps will be to reinstall the Ricoh Media Card Reader Host Controller Driver from the download. Once the installation has been completed, please check the the device manager again for any unknown devices. If any unknown devices show, please uninstall the device and restart the computer.
Please let me know if this works, thank you.

I bought my Elitebook 8560p a few weeks back off of a friend. Wiped the entire laptop clean and installed a new OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit). I thought I installed all the drivers, but the device manager says im still missing a "Base System Device" driver. Help please?
