Hi JesOz,

Let's hold off on smashing it on the ground for the time being. How many times do the Caps and Num Lock lights flash? That will help indicate the error. The link in the document below will explain that. Can I also get your operating system and your product number, please?

Computer Does Not Start and the LEDs Blink or the Computer Beeps:

Find your product number on a notebook:

Hi BHK6, thank you so so much for your reply

ohh phew thankfully I haven't smashed it yet hahahahaha

s/n: CNF9285JPZ

p/n: VH101PA#ABG

OS is just Win vista home premium.

I just cleaned it whith the air duster and counted the lights: There is no stopping like indicating the pattern is over. The caps lock and num lock flash at the same time for a bit over one second then after 3 seconds they do the same and never stops flashing (If I return after an hour is all the same in terms of fan noise, wifi/sound and caps lock /num lock lights)

So would that be considered 1 blink?

Thank you!

Hi JesOz,

Without the screen turning on it does limit our troubleshooting a bit. It does seem like a hardware issue. You can try restoring the bios to see that will fix the issue. It is a key combination that activates it.

If you did anything with Windows 8, you will have to formatt, put Windows 8 back in and update to 8.1

Hi All,

I have a HP Pavilion G4 and over the past couple days the screen will not come on. I've tried connecting a monitor with no success, did the reset by removing the battery and power cords and nothing changes. Lights on the keyboard are unresponsive as well such as the caps lock and wifi. Any other ideas or could I be screwed? Thanks.
