I used laptop earlier and left on  When I went to use again the screen went blank and it turned off  It will not turn back on again.  What is the problem?

You apparently have the same problem we all have: a shoddily designed laptop with no real solution.

I am having the same situation kind of. My laptop just won't turn on at all. When I plug the charger in, the light doesn't come on either. I've only had my laptop for 5 months and it was working perfectly fine the other day. Please help!

Do you have an HP envy?  Mine is only 5 months old too and I have been having this problem for the last month or so.  Sometimes it will turn on and sometimes it won't.  It also will just go to sleep or hibernate (power light blinks when this is happening) when I am in the middle of using it!  It's not set to do that ( as a matter of fact, it just did again while I am typing this).  This laptop is a replacement for an HP laptop that I had previously, only 1.5 years old.  That one had hard disk failure and was on it's way to the repair depot, when the delivery service dropped the box and broke it.  So the store that was doing the repair replaced that one with this piece of garbage.  I, like everyone here, need a dependable laptop for work and home.  I am so sick of buying overpriced crap that doesn't work in less than a year!  I took my laptop into the store that I got it from and told him that it wasn't always starting up and he ran a diagnostic.  Nothing was wrong according to that information.  Yeah, okay.  It has to be hardware, but just in case it's not, I have saved my stuff on an external drive and I am going to swipe it clean.  If that doesn't work, I am going to lose my s**t!!  Then I will take it back to the store AGAIN and tell them to fix the **bleep** thing!

I have a brand new HP 15-d035dx laptop. It worked the first time I turned it on, then put it on sleep mode. The next day I went to turn it on again, it would make a "blip" noise from the inside of the computer, and an orange wifi light on f12 turns on for about 10-15 seconds, then goes off. A friend took it to the store for me and apparently the battery wasn't in right. They fixed it and brought it back to me. Now when I try to turn it on again, it does the exact same thing. I've tried hard resets and the whole nine yards. I don't understand. Someone please help.

Tried unplugging, removing battery and letting it sit for a while. Still won't work. When I try pushing the power button..it blinks but doesn't start. What's wrong..what can I do??
