The card reader installed or not installed has no bearing on why the internet isn't working.

If all the drivers are installed and the devices are listed as working properly, I can't be of any further assistance.

It is some kind of  networking issue that I have no experience dealing with.

Any time I have ever installed wireless or ethernet drivers the devices worked just fine afterwards.

I suggest you start a new post in the notebook networking section requesting assistance with that.

So the card reader installed or not installed has no bearing on why the internet isn't working, yet you insisted that I had to install it.  You know that makes absolutely no sense, right?

You've been doing this for 6 years yet you've never dealt with a network not working on a fresh install?

We ARE in Notebook Wireless and Networking...

Sorry, I see that you already posted there.

You had a PCI device missing and that was the card reader!  What part of that statement don't you understand???

The PCI Device is gone, correct?  Then that was the card reader.

It has NOTHING to do with why the wireless or ethernet isn't working.

That is correct.  I have never had an issue once the networking drivers were installed.  Most folks don't.

The only other suggestions I can offer would be to install the quick launch software and the HP connection manager software.

This package contains the HP Quick Launch Software, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, the HP Quick Launch Software enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This software works with the supported operating systems.

File name: sp56929.exe

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for supported notebook models running a supported operating systems.

File name: sp53968.exe

I'm done here.

I can see we are starting to get on each others nerves, and since I do this for fun, I don't need the headache, and you don't either.

Good luck.  I hope you get the problem resolved.
